Non-Fiction Janet began her career in publishing working for a small newspaper in South Africa, shortly after graduating from high school. The paper, The Zionist Record, was edited by Arthur Super, former editor-in-chief of the Jerusalem Post. Janet worked her way from coffee girl to letter-setter (the paper was letterset with metal type) to entertainment reviewer to columnist. After leaving South Africa in 1960 (a story you'll find in the Life section of this site), Janet became a stringer for papers in the US, and writing articles on life in the United States for South African magazines like Darling. After Moving to California in 1975, Janet wrote articles and interviews for numerous publications including San Jose Magazine and Monterey Life. She also worked as the coordinating editor of The Whole Child series, and ghost-wrote several non-fiction books. You can get a taste of Janet's non-fiction writing at Storytellers Unplugged, the group blog that she posts to on the 26th of every month. She also wrote interviews and and reviews for AudioBookCafe.com, and is at work on several of her own autobiographical works. For a preview, check out "River of Stones" on Amazon Shorts.
